Job summary

Nelsons, part of Lawfront, is recruiting a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our Nottingham office. You will handle a high-quality, high-value caseload within a supportive team recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers.

With 4–8 years PQE in clinical negligence, you will build on existing matters, develop your own caseload, and contribute to business development while benefiting from a hybrid working model within a national scale law firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 4-8 years post-qualification experience in clinical negligence.
• Able to manage own caseload from inception to trial.
• Excellent IT and administration skills; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence files from inception to settlement/trial.
• Assess liability, quantum and merits, instructing experts and counsel as appropriate.
• Draft pleadings, schedules, witness statements and instructions to counsel/experts.
• Attend conferences, settlement meetings and mediations.
• Provide empathetic, clear and practical advice to clients.
• Contribute to business development and the wider profile of the team.
