Job summary

Stephensons Solicitors LLP is seeking a Graduate Paralegal to join its Clinical Negligence team in Wigan. You will support solicitors with a varied caseload of complex matters and gain exposure to high-quality litigation while developing legal knowledge in a supportive environment.

The role involves handling funding documentation, drafting documents, and ensuring excellent client care throughout the case lifecycle. A law degree is essential, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 Law degree required and GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Excellent organisational/administrative and IT skills.
• Proactive, professional attitude; able to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support solicitors with day-to-day management of clinical negligence files.
• Communicate with clients via phone, email and written correspondence.
• Prepare funding documentation and manage medical records.
• Draft legal documents including letters of claim and statements.
• Prepare electronic bundles for conferences, hearings and trials.
• Attend conferences and meetings as required.
• Record time accurately and support fee earners in meeting deadlines.
• Maintain case management records and diary management.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and firm policies.
• Assist wider team with administrative tasks.
