Position: Clinical Negligence / Serious Injury Solicitor
Location: Rochdale (with flexible working options)
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE)

Are you an experienced and passionate Clinical Negligence or Serious Injury Solicitor looking to be part of a supportive, growing firm with a genuine focus on work-life balance and professional development? We are working with a well-established, progressive law firm based in Rochdale to recruit a dedicated solicitor to join their respected Serious Injury and Clinical Negligence team.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years’ experience handling serious injury and/or medical negligence claims. You’ll manage a caseload of complex, high-value matters, whilst playing an active role in supporting the wider team and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage a varied caseload of serious injury and clinical negligence cases
Handle new client enquiries, take instructions and conduct initial screenings
Liaise with hospitals, GP practices, defendant solicitors, Counsel, and medical experts
Draft witness statements, limitation applications, and other key documentation
Conduct thorough case investigations, including reviewing medical records and advising on merits and risks
Accurately time-record and manage deadlines effectively
Progress cases through to settlement in a timely, proactive manner
Provide strategic advice and high levels of client care throughout
Contribute to the leadership, motivation and ongoing development of the team
Work alongside Partners on departmental strategy and objectives
Opportunity for progression to Head of Department for the right candidate
About You:
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
Proven track record of handling serious injury and/or clinical negligence matters to a successful conclusion
Strong technical knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and procedure
Excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills
Confident in client care and able to deliver a highly professional, compassionate service
IT proficient, with experience using Proclaim or similar case management systems
Proactive, commercially aware, and motivated to develop both the team and your own career
