Thompsons Solicitors in Birmingham seeks an experienced Clinical Negligence Lawyer to manage a high-value, multi-track caseload from initial client interview through to resolution, in a role that values autonomy within a supportive team.

You will handle complex clinical negligence claims with skill and empathy, assist senior colleagues on more challenging matters, and contribute to a culture of social justice, professional standards and meaningful client outcomes.

• Proven experience managing complex clinical negligence claims.
• Demonstrable supervisory experience, with the ability to support, guide and develop colleagues
• Confidence in identifying and driving key medico‑legal issues

Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will manage your own high-value, multi-track caseload from initial client interview through to successful resolution. You will handle complex clinical negligence claims with skill, empathy and sound strategic judgement, ensuring the highest standards of litigation and client care throughout.

Alongside your own caseload, you will have the opportunity to assist senior colleagues with higher-value and more complex cases, gaining valuable exposure to challenging work and contributing to the wider team’s success. You will work with a high degree of autonomy while benefiting from a collaborative, high-performing team, where knowledge-sharing, development and mutual support are central to success.
