Job summary

Quantum Care operates a newly opened purpose-built care home, Furzewood Lodge, in South Oxhey, Watford. As Nurse Manager you will provide clinical leadership, oversee governance and drive high-quality care for residents with complex health needs.

You will coordinate assessments, manage care plans, support staff development and ensure regulatory compliance across the service, while promoting safety, dignity and resident wellbeing in a 75-bed facility.

Qualifications

• NMC registration at Band 6 or above is required.
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards, clinical governance and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading teams in healthcare, nursing home or community care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and support to care teams, promoting resident safety, wellbeing and dignity.
• Oversee clinical governance, completing audits and ensuring assessments, care documentation and practices meet required standards.
• Lead and participate in MDT meetings, coordinating high-quality resident care with internal and external professionals.
• Develop, supervise and assess clinical staff through appraisals, competency reviews, CPD and targeted training.
• Maintain compliance with CQC, NMC, Health & Safety and company policies, embedding best practice.
• Monitor clinical equipment, identify risks, and work with the General Manager to drive continuous improvement.

Contract: Full Time- Perm

Hour: 37 hours per week

Pay: £58,072 per annum

Shift Times: 9am - 5.30pm

We are seeking a team of enthusiastic adult Nurse qualified Clinical Manager to provide oversight of our residential nursing care provision for older people our newly opened purpose built Care Home Furzewood Lodge in South Oxhey, Watford. The 75 bed modern facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide an excellent working environment and state of the art home for residents. Nestled in the heart of South Oxhey, it offers a welcoming setting with excellent local amenities, green open spaces, and convenient transport links, creating a comfortable and well-connected environment for residents and staff alike.

As a Clinical Manager, you will coordinate the assessment, management and care of residents with long-term and complex health conditions, ensuring safe, high quality care while helping to reduce avoidable hospital admissions. The role also provides expert guidance and support to the wider care team.

What You'll Bring

• A current NMC registration (Band 6 or above), supported by ongoing professional development and a passion for clinical excellence.

• A flexible and resilient approach, with strong IT skills, the ability to work under pressure, and access to a vehicle for travel as required.
