Job summary

Career Makers Inc. is seeking a Clinical Lead Nurse in Olney, Buckinghamshire, to support the Home Manager and nursing team in delivering high standards of care.

The role blends hands-on clinical duties with leadership, mentoring, and team development. The ideal candidate will be an experienced RN with strong knowledge of CQC requirements and safeguarding, capable of guiding staff and ensuring safe, individualised care for residents.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous experience within a nursing or care home environment.
• Strong clinical knowledge and confidence.
• Previous leadership experience, such as Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager or similar.
• Good understanding of CQC requirements, safeguarding, DoLS and clinical governance.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality elderly care.

Responsibilities

• Providing clinical leadership and guidance to nurses and care staff
• Supporting the Home Manager with the clinical operation of the service
• Ensuring care plans and risk assessments are accurate and regularly reviewed
• Completing clinical audits and supporting ongoing compliance
• Promoting best practice across the nursing and care teams
• Supporting, mentoring and developing members of the team
• Managing safeguarding, medication and clinical concerns appropriately
• Ensuring the home continues to meet CQC and regulatory requirements
• Making confident clinical decisions when required
• Helping to create a positive, supportive working environment
