The post holder will support multidisciplinary teams, promote best practice, supervise staff, and drive improvements in physical health outcomes and equity of access to care for people with learning disabilities, ensuring care complies with legislation, standards

Qualifications

• Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current registration.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in learning disability services.
• Commitment to person-centred care and evidence-based practice.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Clinical Lead will provide strong clinical leadership and professional oversight within learning disability services, ensuring that people receive safe, effective, person-centred and evidence-based care.

The post holder will lead and support the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality clinical practice, promote positive health and wellbeing outcomes for people with learning disabilities, and ensure that care is delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, professional standards, organisational policies and best practice guidance.

The Clinical Lead will act as a senior clinical resource for staff, providing advice, supervision, coaching and support, while contributing to service development, quality improvement and clinical governance.

We are looking for an inspiring and compassionate Clinical Lead Nurse to work across our Community Learning Disability Services in Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire. This is an exciting leadership role for an experienced Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) who is committed to delivering excellent care and driving meaningful change for people with learning disabilities.

Working closely with community nursing teams, Health Action Teams and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will be the professional nursing lead across all three services. You will champion best practice, support and develop staff, and provide expert clinical leadership for people with complex needs. A central focus of the role will be improving physical health outcomes, reducing health inequalities and ensuring that people with learning disabilities are able to access the same high-quality healthcare as everyone else.
