Job summary

Welford Healthcare Ltd is seeking a Clinical Lead based in Great Oaks to provide visible clinical leadership, improve care quality and support clinical teams. This 40-hour week role includes 2 long day shifts on the floor and 2 supernumerary days for training, audits and care planning.

The Clinical Lead will mentor registered clinicians, oversee clinical governance, contribute to service planning and policy implementation, and work with Home Manager and Deputy Manager to drive high standards

Qualifications

• Current professional registration relevant to the role (e.g., NMC) and eligibility to practise.
• Proven clinical experience in health, nursing or social care with exposure to complex care needs.
• Experience of clinical governance, audits, incident investigation or quality improvement work.
• Ability to provide clear clinical supervision, mentorship and influence colleagues at all levels.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, including collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Sound record-keeping and familiarity with care planning and risk assessment processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and professional supervision to nursing and care staff.
• Lead on clinical governance activities including incident review, risk management and clinical audits.
• Assess, plan and review complex care needs; provide clinical advice and support for decision-making.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate clinical training and competency programmes for staff.
• Collaborate with managers to implement best practice, clinical policies and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Support recruitment, appraisal and development of clinical team members where required.
