Job summary

Health Recruit Network is seeking a Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager (RGN) for a Canterbury nursing home to provide hands-on nursing care and lead governance and audits. This role blends clinical duties with leadership responsibilities and on-call cover.

You will supervise staff, ensure CQC compliance, and support the Registered Manager. The ideal candidate is an RGN with an active NMC PIN and at least 5 years of post-registration experience, ready to work in a permanent capacity in Canterbury.

Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager (RGN)

Location: Canterbury, Kent

Salary: Up to £41,000 per annum (£21.50 per hour day rate)

Hours: 36 hours per week (24 clinical, 12 supernumerary)

Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting a Clinical Lead (RGN) to join an established nursing home in the Canterbury area. This is a combined clinical and leadership role, providing hands-on nursing care alongside supernumerary responsibilities covering governance, audits, and staff development. On-call is required on alternate weeks, with overtime available.

The Role

Requirements

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC PIN - essential (RMN not suitable)
• Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience
• Previous experience managing or supervising staff
• Strong understanding of CQC standards and compliance
• Confident using digital care systems and IT platforms
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work under pressure
