Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior district nurse to provide expert clinical leadership within the Windsor & Maidenhead Community Nursing Service. The role involves at least 60% daily patient-facing activity and flexible 7-day working to meet service needs.

Qualifications

Specialist District Nursing Qualification required.
Experience in community nursing is desirable.
Strong leadership and governance skills expected.

Responsibilities

Provide expert clinical support and leadership to community nursing staff.
Minimum 60% daily clinical patient-facing activity.
Work flexibly over 7 days to meet service needs.
Oversee induction and ongoing clinical development for staff.
Champion evidence-based practice for high-quality patient care.
Act as a senior clinical resource for complex cases.
Support initiatives to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and facilitate timely discharges.
