Job summary

The University Of Manchester seeks a motivated Research Project Manager to support the Imaging Facilities across Greater Manchester. You will ensure studies and clinical trials meet regulatory SOPs and collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and NHS managers to streamline processes.

Essential criteria include extensive university/NHS research experience, GCP certification, and strong project management, with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a University or NHS Trust research environment.
• Knowledge of processes for setting up clinical research studies.
• Significant project management experience.
• Current Good Clinical Practice certification.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Imaging Facilities staff, PIs and collaborators for internal review and setup of human studies and Clinical Trials.
• Advise researchers on regulatory requirements for scanning in clinical studies.
• Collaborate with NHS Managers on scanner-related study requirements and streamline shared processes.
• Maintain and improve local SOPs and policies to uphold quality standards.
• Lead small sub-projects and support major scanner purchases and upgrades.
