Job summary

BCUHB in North Wales invites applications from staff for a fixed-term/secondment role to support safety, quality improvement and clinical governance across the clinical divisional services. The post focuses on incident management, risk reporting and ensuring compliance with governance frameworks.

You will lead root cause analyses, provide training and reports, and deputise for the Head of Quality and Governance, contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• First degree or professional qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in Clinical Governance and risk management.
• Knowledge of Governance Frameworks and relevant regulations.
• Experience with DATIX and incident investigation.
• Excellent IT skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• NHS experience and change management abilities.
• Welsh language skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review incidents, perform root cause analysis and follow-up.
• Support governance committees with timely information.
• Prepare reports for directorate meetings and audits.
• Provide training on quality and patient safety.
• Deputise for Head of Quality and Governance.
