Job summary

St Nicholas Hospice Care is seeking a Clinical Governance Lead to provide visible leadership across clinical teams and to drive improvements in patient and family care.

The role includes implementing the governance framework, leading audits, overseeing risk and patient safety processes, and ensuring readiness for inspections. You will also serve as the Medical Devices Safety Officer and PSIRF Lead, contributing to incident learning and policy development.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical governance and safety systems.
• Able to lead audits and drive quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership across clinical teams and drive improvements in patient and family services.
• Implement and oversee the clinical governance framework, audits and quality improvement activities.
• Oversee clinical risk and patient safety processes and support readiness for Care Quality Commission inspections.
• Lead clinical complaints oversight, incident reporting and PSIRF learning responses.
• Act as Medical Devices Safety Officer and Medicines Safety Officer; PSIRF Learning & Response Lead.
• Participate in the clinical on-call rota.
