Job summary

Ingeus is recruiting a Functional Assessor to apply clinical expertise in assessments for claimants, helping them navigate daily living activities and benefit decisions. The role offers training, a structured programme, and flexible hybrid working options.

Starting salary is £49,432 with potential uplift based on development milestones, plus a discretionary bonus and pension benefits. On-site work is part of a hybrid model, with possibilities for progression and professional accreditation.

Qualifications

• Must be registered nursing or allied health professional with ongoing practice.
• Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to type and confidence using computers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out functional assessments with claimants face-to-face, via video and telephone to assess daily living activities.
• Ask focused questions using active listening and critical reasoning to gather information.
• Produce high-quality, structured clinical reports for submission to the DWP.
• Work with experienced clinical colleagues to ensure fair and accurate assessments.
