Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a dynamic and cohesive team. We are a high volume Robotic pelvic and upper tract cancer centre, with 250 procedures performed in 2018. We also have a high volume of upper tract benign work (endourology), including ultra-mini PCNL, a dedicated stone MDT, metabolic clinics and on-site ESWL. Working mainly at Bradford Royal Infirmary, there will be opportunity for a tailored job plan to take advantage of training opportunities in either robotic uro-oncology, upper tract/endo-urology, functional urology and general urology.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the post are:

  • Theatre sessions, outpatient clinics, diagnostic sessions and on call cover.
  • The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the urology teaching programme.
  • Active involvement with clinical governance.
  • On call non-resident 24 hour midweek with post-take half day (1:6) and non-resident 48-hour weekend with post-take day off (1:6) (further zero days to be added to ensure EWTD and New contract terms and conditions compliant).
  • Audit, research and publication will be actively encouraged.
