St George's Hospital is seeking a part-time Clinical Educator for Support Worker Development to lead and deliver developmental support and programmes for care support workers at the Education Centre.

You will coordinate the Care Certificate induction with colleagues and work with nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals to develop a robust clinical learning environment.

Qualifications

The post is a Part time, fixed 12 month position - Ideal for those seeking experience in education.

Through our two primary hospital site - St George's Hospital in Tooting and Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton - we provide essential healthcare services to a population of 1.3 million people.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of developmental support and programmes for care support workers within the Trust. A key responsibility will be to co-ordinate and deliver with departmental colleagues the Care Certificate induction, ensuring delivery of theory and clinical skills based on evidence‑based practice. The post holder will work collaboratively with other clinical training leads within the Trust in the formulation of programmes to develop healthcare support workers to include those who support nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals.

The post holder will regularly work clinically withCSWs enabling their support and maintenance of clinical skills.

  • Minimum of 5 years clinical /management experience.
  • Experience of working with senior managers in the organisation to identify and support skills development
  • Substantial experience of supervision and assessment of learners within the clinical setting
  • Evidence of successful development of the clinical learning environment for students

  • Evidence of development of interprofessional learning opportunities
  • Evidence of formal teaching and programme planning
