An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinical Lead Nurse Manager to join our specialist Older Adult Mental Health inpatient team on Annwylfan Ward.
We seek an experienced RMN who is motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic, demonstrating a commitment to the ongoing development of our inpatient service. The candidate must have the clinical experience to lead and model excellent care delivery, ensuring high standards are maintained for our patients.
The ward currently offers 16 in-patient Dementia assessment beds treating individuals with various mental health diagnoses within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB). The successful candidate will oversee ward management in the absence of the ward manager, requiring strong leadership qualities, skills, and attributes.
As Clinical Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and implementing high-quality care for admitted patients. A key role involves supporting patients and their families during admission and facilitating safe discharge.
Desirable for this role is ability to speak Welsh; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally encouraged to apply.
The post requires working within professional guidelines and codes of practice. The candidate may be asked to work in other areas of the Health Board to meet service needs.
Applicants should be eager to develop junior staff and embrace clinical supervision, supported by a clinical progression pathway.
