Job summary
Rotherwood in Swaffham is seeking an experienced Deputy Care Manager (Clinical) to support the Home Manager in delivering safe, high-quality nursing care. You will lead clinical teams and oversee care plans, audits and medication oversight in a person-centred environment.
The role requires an NMC-registered nurse with prior deputy or deputy-home-manager experience, strong leadership and excellent communication.
Qualifications
- NMC registered nurse with current pin and UK registration.
- Proven experience in deputy/assistant management in a nursing setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on person-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership to nursing and care teams.
- Support the Home Manager with day-to-day running of the service.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and clinical governance requirements.
- Mentor and supervise nurses and care staff.
- Complete clinical audits, care plan reviews and medication oversight.
- Support assessments, risk management and safeguarding processes.
- Build relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
- Take responsibility for the home in the Home Manager's absence.
