Job summary
Rotherwood in Griston, Norfolk is seeking a Deputy Care Manager (Nursing) to support the Home Manager in delivering safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care. The role offers clinical leadership and governance across daily operations of the home.
You will lead nursing and care teams, oversee care plans, audits and medication management while maintaining person-centred care and safeguarding best practices.
Qualifications
- NMC registration is essential.
- Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and clinical governance.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with care planning, medications, safeguarding and audits.
Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager with day-to-day service management.
- Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams.
- Ensure care delivery meets CQC standards and legislation.
- Lead clinical audits, care plan reviews and medication management.
- Mentor and develop nurses and care staff.
- Complete risk and pre-admission assessments and reviews.
- Promote safeguarding and appropriate referrals.
- Build relationships with residents, families and external professionals.
- Take responsibility for clinical running of the home in the Manager's absence.
- Promote person-centred care, dignity, choice and independence.
