Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking an experienced administrator to support primary care teams. You will run EMIS searches to identify patients for review, manage recalls, and coordinate data reporting across QOF, DES, LES, and ECF programs.

You will work with reception, nurses, pharmacists and clinicians, maintain safeguarding and palliative care registers, and support research and group clinics, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• EMIS searches and clinical data: Run routine and complex EMIS Web searches to identify patients requiring review, monitoring, recall or other agreed activity; maintain accurate search definitions, trackers and documentation; identify coding anomalies for review.
• QOF, enhanced services and ECF delivery: Prepare worklists and track activity for QOF, DES, LES, ECF and other programmes; coordinate invitations, appointments and reminders.
• Recalls and clinical coordination: Coordinate LTC recalls and support childhood immunisation, cervical screening, LD, SMI, frailty, NHS Health Check and other recall programmes; track non-responders and follow-ups.
• Safeguarding administration: Maintain safeguarding registers and trackers; prepare agendas and documentation; escalate concerns promptly; do not undertake clinical risk assessments.
• Palliative care and MDT administration: Maintain palliative care registers and MDT information; coordinate communication with clinical and community teams.
• Research and group clinics: Support development of research administration; undertake approved patient-identification searches and tracking.
• Day-to-day team coordination: Act as operational point of contact for the Patient Care Team; support colleagues and maintain written procedures.
