Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is seeking a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician for the Children and Young Persons Directorate. The role involves promoting safe, effective use of medicines, overseeing dispensing processes and contributing to medicines optimisation.

You will work within clinical areas, requiring transport around the Trust and flexible working to meet service needs. Training and development opportunities are provided as part of a supportive NHS environment.

Qualificações

• Broad technical & pharmaceutical knowledge for safe medicines use.
• Experience with medicines audit and governance.
• Experience of working with people with mental health/learning disability or in the community.
• Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and competency assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain safe systems of medication supply to clinical areas.
• Monitor processes that medicines are supplied accurately, efficiently and appropriately.
• Facilitate the systems for dispensing and supply of medicines (inpatient, discharge, leave, MS).
• Coordinate and manage systems for using patients' own drugs and one-stop dispensing.
• Discuss with newly admitted clients their current medication use and document how they take their meds.
• Review and update patient service user profiles with current medication therapy information.
• Liaise with ward pharmacist and medical team to address discrepancies with GPs/carers.
