Job summary
We have a 0.6 WTE vacancy for a Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in adult community psychological services in Mid Essex. We welcome newly qualified applicants who can be initially appointed at a band 7 with preceptorship to 8A. The role focuses on developing expertise in psychological interventions like Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or Schema Therapy. There are funded training opportunities available after 6 months of probation, within 2 years of appointment, with a commitment to stay at least 3 years. The training will be matched to service needs and approved by the service manager.
Main duties of the job
Based within MDTs covering Chelmsford and Braintree, you will work alongside professionals from various backgrounds, providing psychological interventions to complex cases. You will become proficient in delivering evidence-based psychological treatments (e.g., DBT or Schema Therapy) and contribute to program management. Skills in multidisciplinary planning and respectful team relationships are essential.
