Job summaryThis role is part time for 25 to 30 hours per week. The advert will close early if sufficient applications are receivedThe ClinicalCoding Care Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring that all externaland internal patient correspondence is acted upon at the appropriate level andaccurately coded in the patients medical record. A soundprofessional working relationship will be required with the GPs and staffworking within the Practice.
The role includesFamiliarity withDocman and EMIS Web clinical software systems
Ensuring that allincoming patient correspondence is scanned, acted upon and correctly coded toensure the integrity of patient records
Accuratelysummarise patient records
Main duties of the jobTo scan all patient related post onto the system using Docman software and to file this information accurately to the patients medical record using preset options.
To correct errors in filing and ensure corresponding records are amended accurately
Identifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence, code appropriately and complete any action required
Assess correspondence and deal with as appropriate and/or pass to appropriate colleagues via workflow process, ensuring coding and organising of all relevant information
