Job summary

SJB Medical is seeking a Functional Assessor to carry out targeted functional assessments for health-related benefit applications. You will base decisions on clinical judgement within regular hours, with no night shifts or weekend work, contributing to evidence-based reporting.

You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team at one of our UK centres, benefiting from structured training and clear career development paths while delivering high-quality assessments.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist)
• At least 12 months post-registration experience in the last 5 years
• No current restrictions to practice

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports
• Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards
• Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision
• Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity
