Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a Clinical Assessor in Fareham. You will conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments for PIP and WCA, evaluating how health conditions affect daily living and work. You’ll review medical evidence, question functional ability, and produce objective reports for the DWP.

The role requires post-registration adult experience and active professional registration, with hybrid hours and a clear path for progression. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent post-registration experience in a relevant adult setting.
• At least 1 year of active NMC, HCPC or GPHC registration.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.
• Excellent report‑writing and typing skills.
• Good IT skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments with claimants.
• Explore how health conditions affect everyday activities and work.
• Review medical evidence and health questionnaires.
• Ask detailed questions about functional ability.
• Use your critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.
• Produce clear, accurate and objective reports for the DWP.
• Make recommendations based on your assessment findings.
