Job summary

Optical Express in London is seeking a Clinic Manager to lead operations at the Great Portland Street clinic. You will oversee daily performance, patient experience, and staff development while ensuring high standards of tidiness and professional presentation.

Title: Clinic Manager

Optical Express, the UK's leading private provider of laser eye, premium intra‑ocular lens and cataract surgery, operates a new clinic at Great Portland Street, London.

Key Responsibilities

You will be customer facing and help drive performance for the practice. You'll also be responsible for the daily operational efficiency of the practice; a key part of your role will be developing the team and promoting the benefits of laser eye and lens replacement surgery to patients.

Day to Day

• Drive the commercial performance of the team and clinic overall.
• Display an exceptional level of professional standards.
• Manage the clinic diary.
• Provide clear and concise communication to the team on daily expectations.
• Ensure the practice is presentable and maintained to the highest standards of tidiness and cleanliness, showcasing the professional image of Optical Express.
• Help recruit, induct, coach and support your team to ensure all members meet acceptable levels of knowledge and competence.
• Ensure the team influences and advises potential patients on the most suitable and appropriate solution for their needs.

Qualifications

You will have strong management experience within an optical or healthcare setting or high‑end retail, be adept at delivering great results through passion for people, and work closely with team members to develop them through performance management. You possess excellent communication and presentation skills, are articulate, motivated to achieve, and have a willingness to learn and progress within Optical Express.
