Job summary

Devon County Council is seeking a Climate and Sustainability Officer to join our Climate and Sustainability Team. You will help reduce carbon emissions, drive system-wide change, and support climate adaptation across Devon.

The postholder will collaborate with partners across local government, businesses and communities to deliver practical solutions. You will provide technical advice, shape strategies and guidance, and contribute to the Devon Climate Emergency and other partnerships while

Qualifications

• Experience providing environmental advice and supporting projects and partnerships.
• Good understanding of climate resilience and sustainability initiatives.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical information for diverse audiences.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and enthusiasm for addressing climate and ecological emergency.
• Confidence working with data to shape practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support projects that reduce carbon emissions and drive system-wide change.
