Job summary

J.P. Morgan in the United Kingdom is seeking an Experience Design Vice President to lead end-to-end product design for climate risk experiences, turning complex climate, hazard, and financial risk data into intuitive workflows that help users assess, manage, and act on risk.

You will guide design strategy across risk technology, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and risk SMEs to deliver high-quality, accessible experiences.

Qualifications

• Significant experience or equivalent expertise in user experience design or similar roles.
• Ability to create visual representations of user journeys, such as storyboarding, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Experience in inclusive design and accessibility guidelines, incorporating diverse perspectives and abilities into design solutions.
• Experience developing transformational innovation strategies and north star representations to drive customer-centric decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the UX strategy and detailed interaction design for climate risk products.
• Translate climate risk concepts into clear user journeys, information architecture, and task flows.
• Partner with product, engineering, data science, and risk SMEs to define requirements, prototype solutions, and ship high-quality experiences.
• Design dashboards and decision-support tools balancing transparency, explainability, and usability for expert and non-expert users.
• Plan and run research (interviews, usability tests), synthesize insights, and iterate based on evidence.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI; contribute to and evolve the design system.
• Define and measure experience success metrics (adoption, task completion, time-to-insight, trust/clarity signals)
