We are seeking individuals with a good foundational knowledge of UK agricultural production practices (crops or livestock) and an understanding of sustainable production practices linked to climate mitigation, resilience, and/or sustainable water use. The role involves supporting desk-based research for corporate and public sector clients.
ADAS Climate and Sustainability is a diverse business working across all aspects of sustainability related to land-based sectors, particularly focusing on agriculture. Our work is fast-paced and ever-changing, offering variety and new challenges as we assist clients in addressing sustainability challenges facing the industry. Our clients range from input providers and farmers to food and drink manufacturers, the retail sector, and government and public sector bodies, providing a wide range of solutions. We work across arable, horticultural, and livestock sectors, as well as exploring other land use areas. Recent focus areas include reducing climate impact (supporting Net Zero), building resilience to climate change, understanding sustainable water use, exploring alternative proteins, and assessing environmental and social impacts of crop production changes in European agriculture. This role will specifically support the growth of our climate and water initiatives, with opportunities to take responsibility for aspects of business development.
