Job summary

Talent Motion seeks an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Consultancy) in Leeds to work client-side across RIBA stages 1–7, from feasibility to detailed design, across private and public sectors, with a focus on decarbonisation.

You will act as the client’s representative, delivering building services design and energy audits, while benefiting from a supportive team, career development, pension, health screening and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical building services design across multiple stages (feasibility to detailed design).
• Understanding of decarbonisation and energy performance in buildings.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical building services detail design
• Feasibility and scheme design reports
• Decarbonisation design/delivery
• Performance specifications
• Performance monitoring
• Fit out and refurbishment strategy and design
• Undertake property surveys (with guidance from the team)
• Produce due diligence reports (acquisition/dilapidations/development)
• Energy audits and management
• Energy, maintenance & development strategies
• Life cycle costings
• Provide expert advice in the field of building services
