What you’ll be doing:

As our Client Services Officer, you'll be right at the heart of delivering an exceptional experience to our clients. Here's a flavour of what you’ll get involved in:

  • Coordinating client meetings, events, and engagement activities, making sure everything runs smoothly from agendas to follow-ups.
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of client reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Keeping our client relationship systems accurate and up to date, while tracking client needs to help shape service improvements.
  • Collaborating closely with teams across the business – from Investments to Operations – to deliver consistently excellent service.
  • Helping to refine our client service processes and ensuring everything aligns with our regulatory obligations and client-focused values.
  • Providing top-notch executive support to the wider team, from diary management and logistics to preparing governance materials and high-quality communications.

About Us

LGPS Central (LGPSC) Ltd is the FCA-regulated asset manager for eight local authority pension funds across the Midlands. LGPSC is jointly owned on an equal shares basis by those Partner Fund, and it is responsible for managing £45bn+ of their assets. It is one of eight Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) asset pools in the UK.

Position

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients, executives, and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Confident in managing high-level meetings and working with senior leaders.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when preparing reports, minutes, or correspondence.
  • IT literate – proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (e.g. Teams, SharePoint)

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in Business Administration, Financial Services, or Client Relationship Management.
  • PA/EA training or certification (desirable).
  • Familiarity with LGPS, asset management, or public pensions is an advantage.
