Job summary

NFU Mutual Carlisle Agency seeks a friendly Customer Service & Sales Adviser to join our Carlisle team. You’ll handle enquiries, manage policy administration, and engage customers to identify products that may help them.

Daily duties include in-branch interactions, phone calls, and electronic inquiries, with a strong emphasis on personal service. We offer comprehensive training and ongoing development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional and customer-focused approach.
• Confidence speaking with customers face-to-face, over the phone and in writing.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload.
• Proactive approach to identify sales opportunities where appropriate.
• Great IT skills including MS Office applications.
• Insurance experience helpful but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries and policy administration with professionalism.
• Engage customers in conversations to identify needs and sales opportunities.
• Provide outstanding service in person and via phone/electronic channels.
• Support general office tasks to ensure smooth agency operations.
