Job summary

Accountable Recruitment is recruiting a Client Manager for a well-established Warrington accountancy practice. You will handle a diverse portfolio of owner-managed and private client businesses, overseeing UK statutory and management accounts, tax, and advisory work.

You’ll manage relationships, drive efficiency with technology and support junior colleagues, in a hybrid, flexible working environment with good on-site parking and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Managing or working closely with clients with turnovers £5m–£15m.
• Strong technical skills in year-end accounts, management accounts and tax.
• Audit experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients, typically £5m–£15m turnover.
• Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts.
• Review more complex accounts and provide technical support.
• Prepare and review management accounts.
• Oversee corporation tax and broader tax compliance.
• Work with complex structures and group entities.
• Build strong, long-term client relationships.
• Understand clients' businesses beyond numbers and spot advisory needs.
• Manage deadlines, workloads and workflow across the portfolio.
• Support and develop junior team members.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide a joined-up service.
• Embrace technology, automation and process improvements.
