Job summary

Counted Recruitment are supporting a well-established Birmingham city centre accountancy practice to recruit a Client Management Accountant. The role offers exposure to a varied client portfolio and a supportive, collaborative culture.

You will take ownership of management accounts, statutory accounts and monthly packs, working closely with clients to gather information and provide clear, commercial insights. ACA/ACCA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA (part/full) or qualified by experience
• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential
• Proven track record of end-to-end management and statutory accounts
• Strong month-end experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalise management accounts for a varied client portfolio
• Prepare statutory accounts to a high standard
• Compile monthly reporting packs for clients
• Build client relationships and present findings clearly
• Support month-end and year-end close processes

Main Duties

As a Client Management Accountant, your main duties include:

• Taking ownership of the preparation and finalisation of management accounts for a varied client portfolio
• Preparing statutory accounts to a high standard, in line with relevant reporting requirements
• Compiling clear, accurate monthly reporting packs for clients
• Building strong client relationships, gathering information, resolving queries, and presenting findings in a clear and commercial way
• Playing an active role in month-end and year-end close processes, helping to improve efficiency and reporting quality along the way

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA - candidates qualified by experience will also be considered
• Experience gained within an accountancy practice is essential
• A proven track record of preparing management and statutory accounts end-to-end
• Strong, hands-on experience of month-end processes is essential
