Job summary

Free-Work UK is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a defence/nuclear/aerospace oriented consultancy. The role is based in Bristol with hybrid working (3 days on site) and extensive training plus progression opportunities.

You will work on complex, government and industrial programmes, delivering systems engineering outputs, architecture, and verification activities while coordinating with clients and stakeholders. A background in regulated environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Systems Engineering across lifecycle stages.
• Background in defence, nuclear, aerospace or complex engineering environments.
• Able to handle ambiguity and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of DOORS, MBSE, SysML, MODAF or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver client-facing Systems Engineering across complex, regulated programmes.
• Support concept development, requirements, architecture, modelling and analysis.
• Contribute to integration, validation, qualification and acceptance activities.
• Take ownership of technical work packages, planning and stakeholder coordination.
• Work across defence, nuclear, space and utilities projects.
