Job summary

Stirling Park currently seeks a proactive business development and client management professional to drive sales growth and manage key client relationships in Scotland. You will engage with local authorities and commercial partners, develop opportunities, and support tender responses while collaborating with senior leadership.

You will represent the group at industry events, prepare performance reports, and contribute to a robust sales pipeline across contracted and non-contracted clients.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Sheriff Officer is preferable.
  • IRRV Qualification is preferable or member of SMASO.
  • Experience of working within the sales Industry.
  • 3+ years working in a target driven role.
  • 3+ years working within the Sheriff Officer or Collections Role.
  • Proven experience of client relationship management.
  • Computer Literate - advanced knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Database is desirable.
  • Full UK driving license and the ability to work away from home when required.

Job description

Hours : 37.5 hours per week - Monday – Friday 9.00am –5.30pm

Location : StirlingPart Office, Kilmarnock with a requirement to attend any location in Scotland

The Role

This is a keystrategic role responsible forproactivelymanaging the Diligence client portfolio, ensuring regular engagement withclients to review operational performance, service delivery standards, andfuture requirements. The role will gather, analyse, and report client feedbackto the CCO and Operations Director, supporting the continuous monitoring,improvement, and enhancement of service delivery. In addition, the postholderwill support the management of the Local Authority Collections client base,providing operational support and resilience to the Operations Director.

Driving sales andbusiness growth is a core objective of this position. The postholder willidentify and develop opportunities across both contracted and non-contractedDiligence clients, as well as commercial partners, using a range of proactivebusiness development approaches, including telephone engagement, emailcampaigns, networking, and face-to-face meetings at events and conferences. Therole will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust pipeline ofopportunities, targeting prospective clients and key growth sectors. Througheffective account management and relationship building, the postholder willsecure introductory meetings, nurture prosects, and strengthen Stirling Park’spresence across the market.

The role will actas an ambassador for Stirling Park, representing the business at meetings,industry events, conferences, and other sales opportunities to enhance brandawareness, strengthen relationships, and identify new commercial opportunities.

Close collaborationwith the Operations Director is essential to ensure operational readiness,resource planning, and the successful mobilisation and delivery of newbusiness. The postholder will also support the bid and tender process bycontributing to bid preparation, attending planning meetings, reviewingsubmissions, assisting with written responses, and providing valuable marketand sector insights.

As the Groupcontinues to develop and enhance its sales and marketing strategy, this rolewill contribute to the design and implementation of initiates across StirlingPark, helping to articulate and promote the organisation’s unique sellingpropositions (USPs). Working collaboratively across the Group, the overarchingobjective of the role is to increase market share, drive revenue growth, andenhance profitability while maintaining exceptional client services standards.

Responsibilities – Client Management

  • Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Client Management Strategy, ensuring a tailored and value-driven approach Assist with the development of a Client Management Strategy and the ‘tailored’ service delivery for each client.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen positive working relationships with clients, commercial partners and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted and professional representative of the business.
  • Ensure clients remain informed of relevant industry developments, legislative changes, best practice guidance, technological innovations and wider Group initiatives that may enhance service delivery and outcomes.
  • Plan, coordinate and lead client performance review meetings at agreed intervals, ensuring productive discussions focused on service performance, client objectives and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and meeting summaries, capturing key discussions, agreed actions, outcomes and recommendations, and monitor progress against these actions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of legislative, regulatory and market developments, ensuring the Group remains at the forefront of the sector and continues to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Provide regular updates to the CCO and Operations Director on client engagement activities, outcomes and agreed actions, escalating any significant concerns, risks or service issues for prompt resolution.

Responsibilities – Sales and Growth

  • Support the CCO in the development and delivery of the Group’s sales and growth strategy, ensuring Stirling Park’s USPs are effectively communicated across the Diligence and Collections markets.
  • Proactively identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities with prospective clients, commercial partners, and emerging market sectors to increase revenue, market share and profitability.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of prospective clients and partners, ensuring records are accurate, current, and effectively segmented to support targeted business development campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurately recording opportunities, profitability of success, expected contract values and progress against targets.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver proactive sales and marketing campaigns aimed at key client groups, local authorities, commercial partners and strategic growth sectors.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth through cross-selling, up-selling and the expansion of existing service offerings within current client accounts.
  • Represent the organisation at sales meetings, networking events, conferences, exhibitions, and industry forums, promoting the Stirling Park brand and generating new business opportunities.
  • Working closely with the CCO, Operations Director and wider management team to share market intelligence, identify opportunities and ensure effective preparation for client and sales engagements.
  • Attend relevant industry conferences, exhibitions and professional events, including Diligence Legal events, IRRV conferences and BPA forums, to maintain market awareness and develop strategic relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, commercial partners and senior stakeholders, enhancing the Group’s reputation and market presence.
  • Prepare and attend sales / tender presentations on behalf of Stirling Park .
  • Support the Bid Team in the preparation and submission of tender responses including planning, drafting, reviewing and contributing to method statements and quality responses within demanding timescales.
  • Identify and maintain Unique Sales Points, online content and marketing communications.
  • Assist the CCO in the preparation of annual business plans, growth strategies, performance reports and management information. s
  • Actively contribute as a member of the Group’s Business Development & Client Management team, supporting the achievement of corporate objectives and participating in senior management meetings as required.

Qualifications we are looking for

  • Qualified Sheriff Officer is preferable
  • IRRV Qualification is preferable or member of SMASO

Accountability
