Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Knowledge of personal tax, corporation tax and VAT.
• Strong organisational skills with multiple deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare financial statements using accounting software.
• Complete personal, partnership and corporation tax returns.
• Prepare capital allowances computations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Undertake company secretarial duties.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and provide updates.
• Maintain accurate client records and monitor deadlines.
• Identify process improvements and support colleagues.
