Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, Ealing

Job Overview

As a Clerk of Works, you will oversee ongoing building projects to ensure quality, compliance, and safety standards are met. Your day may include site visits, meetings with contractors and project managers, and liaising with residents to address concerns and explain upcoming works.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor the quality of work delivered by contractors and ensure compliance with regulatory and health and safety standards.
  2. Oversee projects, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Conduct site inspections regularly and coordinate project activities remotely when needed.
  4. Maintain compliance with contractual and statutory obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Address issues promptly to keep projects on track.
Candidate Profile
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment and initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills.
  • Experience in customer care, stakeholder management, and valuing diversity.
  • Knowledge of building construction, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Professional membership (CABE, RICS, CIOB) is desirable.
  • Training such as NEBOSH, SMSTS preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Construction-related Degree, Masters, HNC/HND is preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Basic DBS check.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
