NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, and regional and national services extend this to a population of 2.2 million.
This is a permanent, part-time position of 31.5 hours per week (salary is pro-rata). The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
We are seeking a Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join our friendly team at the Cardiac Physiology Department, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
The role involves patient-facing duties such as checking in patients for appointments, handling patient telephone queries, and managing internal calls related to the department. The successful candidate will assist the cardiac physiology team by entering patient data into electronic systems, verifying demographics, and rebooking appointments.
The role also includes data entry into various healthcare databases. Knowledge of healthcare IT systems is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate should be friendly, approachable, and capable of working under pressure.
