Job summary

Harrods is seeking an experienced Cleaning Team Leader to manage and develop our cleaning team within the iconic Knightsbridge store. You will lead a shift from 1pm to 9:30pm, five days over seven with alternating weekends, to maintain exceptional standards and create a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

You will bring proven leadership in cleaning supervision, experience in retail or hospitality settings, and a proactive, detail-focused approach.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Cleaning Team Leader to lead, support and develop our cleaning team within one of the world's most iconic retail environments. You'll play a key role in maintaining exceptional standards across our store while motivating your team to deliver a safe, welcoming and immaculate environment for customers and colleagues every day.

Shift working hours are 1 pm to 9:30 pm, working 5 days over 7, including 1 in every 2 weekends.

About the Role

You'll be an experienced Cleaning Supervisor, Cleaning Team Leader or Facilities Team Leader who enjoys leading people and setting high standards.

You'll bring:

• Previous experience supervising or leading a cleaning team.
• Experience working in a retail, hospitality, facilities management or commercial environment.
• Strong people leadership and communication skills.
• A proactive approach and the confidence to make decisions independently.
• Good knowledge of cleaning practices, health & safety requirements and safe use of equipment and chemicals.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work the required shift pattern, including alternate weekends.

About You

You will be a strong leader with previous experience as a cleaning supervisor or team leader, ideally in a retail or commercial environment. You will have good knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and health & safety regulations, along with the ability to work independently and use initiative to resolve issues. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required.
