Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor for an early-morning shift to lead a on-site cleaning team and act as the main point of contact for clients and managers. You will coordinate tasks, support training, and ensure health and safety compliance across the site.

The role requires proven cleaning experience, COSHH knowledge, and strong communication skills to manage staff, audits, and client liaison.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Demonstrable people skills or experience coordinating a team.
• Experience cleaning in a similar environment or transferable skills.
• Understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety compliance on similar sites/environments.
• Experience in training and inducting colleagues.
• Strong communication skills essential for client liaison and team coordination.
• Proactive and adaptable, able to respond to changing demands and priorities.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Be the clients’ and managers’ main point of contact on site.
• Coordinate and drive a team on site, while completing core cleaning duties with the team.
• Support the manager with training and induction of new staff and training records.
• Lead by example while following safe systems of work and method statements.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed to a high standard.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control.
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are used efficiently and maintained in good condition.
• Address operational issues or challenges and find effective solutions to maintain smooth operations.
