Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland invites applications for a Cleaning Supervisor on site to lead a team of cleaners, coordinate client and site manager liaison, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will train and induct new staff, ensure health and safety compliance, manage supplies, and drive quality through inspections. A proactive, reliable candidate with COSHH knowledge and strong communication will fit this role.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Demonstrable people skills or experience coordinating a team.
• Experience cleaning in a similar environment or transferable skills.
• Understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety compliance on similar sites/environments.
• Experience in training and inducting colleagues.
• Strong communication skills, essential for client liaison and effective team coordination.
• Proactive and adaptable, able to respond to changing demands and priorities.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Be the clients' and managers' main point of contact on site
• Coordinate and drive a team on site, while completing core cleaning duties with the team
• Support the manager with the training and induction of new staff, and the completion of training records
• Lead by example when completing tasks, following the safe systems of work and method statements
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed to a high standard
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are used efficiently and maintained in good condition
• Address any operational issues or challenges that arise, finding effective solutions to maintain smooth operations
