Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking enthusiastic Cleaning Supervisors to join our team in Motherwell. You will help ensure schools and facilities are clean, hygienic, and welcoming, while supporting the cleaning team and maintaining high standards.

We are looking for candidates with supervisory experience and a background in commercial cleaning, comfortable using cleaning equipment and understanding health and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a cleaning team in a workplace setting.
• Ability to communicate clearly and organise workloads.
• Self-motivated with a flexible approach to tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cleaning staff to maintain clean, hygienic, and welcoming environments.
• Assist and guide the cleaning team to high standards of safety and quality.
• Coordinate tasks and ensure compliance with health and safety responsibilities.
• Support and cover shifts as needed.
