Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting a cleaning supervisor for Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton, southwest London. The role is term-time only, 42 weeks plus holidays, paying £18 per hour for 27.5 hours per week with shifts 1.30pm–7pm, Monday to Friday.

You will supervise cleaners, perform hands-on duties, monitor standards and help organise cleaning operations while ensuring safeguarding and health-and-safety compliance. A proactive, customer-service oriented leader is essential.

• Help maintain an exceptional environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**

What You Do:

• Supervise and support a team of cleaners during your shift.
• Take a hands-on approach to the role, carrying out cleaning duties alongside the team as required. Approximately 50% of the role will involve cleaning duties.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to agreed standards.
• Carry out cleaning duties and monitor standards across the school site.
• Support the Contract Director with the organisation of cleaning operations.
• Lead team briefings and promote a positive, engaged working environment.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, fire safety and COSHH requirements.
• Monitor cleaning equipment, materials and storage areas, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard.
• Report incidents, accidents, damages or concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Help maintain an exceptional environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

• Previous supervisory or management experience, ideally within cleaning, facilities management or housekeeping.
