Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting a Cleaning Supervisor for Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton. The role is term-time only with 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 1.30pm–7pm. You will supervise cleaners, perform hands-on duties as needed, and ensure cleaning standards across the site.

You will lead briefings, maintain health and safety compliance, and support operations under the Contract Director. The position offers training and a structured environment within a prestigious campus.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in cleaning, facilities management or housekeeping.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and people-management skills.

• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of cleaners during your shift.
• Carry out cleaning duties alongside the team as required; approximately 50% of the role involves cleaning.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to agreed standards.
• Carry out cleaning duties and monitor standards across the school site.
• Support the Contract Director with the organisation of cleaning operations.
• Lead team briefings and promote a positive, engaged working environment.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, fire safety and COSHH requirements.
• Monitor cleaning equipment, materials and storage areas, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard.
• Report incidents, accidents, damages or concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Help maintain an exceptional environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Pay £18.00 per hour

Hours 27.5 hours weeks

Working Pattern Monday to Friday

Shift Times 1.30pm to 7pm

Contract Term Time Only 42 working weeks a year plus holiday

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**
