Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a proactive Cleaning Manager to lead cleaning operations across Edinburgh Academy Senior and Junior Schools. The role is based in Edinburgh with afternoon and evening shifts, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, and occasional weekend work.

You'll manage a team of cleaning staff, conduct audits, ensure health & safety compliance, plan rotas, and maintain strong client relationships to deliver high cleaning standards every day.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large cleaning teams.

• Experience in a standards-driven or compliance-focused environment.
• Knowledge of health & safety and COSHH regulations.
• Experience conducting audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Cleaning Manager

Edinburgh Academy Senior & Junior Schools (Multi-site role)

• Salary: £38,500 to £41,000 per annum + operational bonus
• Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week
• Shifts: Monday to Friday (some weekend working business dependent)
• Working Pattern: This role is primarily based around afternoon and evening working, in line with the operational requirements of the cleaning service. Typical shifts include11.30am-8pm, 12.30-9pm, 10.00-18.30pm, with occasional shifts such as 7am to 3.30pmto support the wider operation. The cleaning team you will manage primarily work 4-9pm.

• The ability to prioritise workloads and deploy resources effectively

Desirable:

• Facilities Management or contract management experience
• IOSH, NEBOSH or FM-related qualifications
• BICS qualification
• Experience working with audit and compliance systems
