Job summary

Thorn Baker Facilities Management in Leeds is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee a single-site operation in LS9. The role focuses on leading a small team and maintaining the highest cleaning standards while delivering a reliable service.

This permanent, site-based position offers Monday to Friday daytime hours (10:00am–5:00pm) with Saturday 8:00am–2:00pm, and an opportunity to manage a team of 4 cleaners with strong health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader is essential.
• Proven ability to manage a small team effectively.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day cleaning operations across the site.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of 4 cleaners.
• Maintain highest cleaning standards across all areas.
• Carry out quality inspections and audits.
• Manage rotas, holidays and staff cover.
• Train new starters and support ongoing development.
• Maintain stock levels and order consumables.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
• Build positive relationships with the client and respond to operational needs.

Are you an experienced Cleaning Supervisor looking for a stable, site-based role where you can lead your own team and make a real impact? Do you enjoy maintaining high standards, supporting your team, and delivering an excellent cleaning service?

We are recruiting for a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the cleaning operation at a single site in the LS9 area of Leeds.

Your Role

• Supervising the day-to-day cleaning operation across the site
• Leading, motivating and supporting a team of 4 cleaners
• Ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest cleaning standards
• Carrying out regular quality inspections and audits
• Managing rotas, holidays and staff cover
• Training new starters and supporting ongoing development
• Maintaining stock levels and ordering cleaning consumables when required
• Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
• Building positive relationships with the client and responding to any operational requirements

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 10:00am - 5:00pm
• Saturday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

About You

• Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• High standards and excellent attention to detail
• Good organisational and communication skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach to managing a cleaning operation
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and cleaning best practices
