Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead on-site teams, maintain high cleanliness and safety standards, and act as the main contact for clients.

The role involves supervising daily cleaning tasks, training new staff, ensuring COSHH and health and safety compliance, and coordinating with the site manager to deliver reliable service.

About The Role

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 14:30pm - 23:30pm. Weekends will be required as part of a varied rota.

As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be the main point of contact for clients and managers on site. You will coordinate and lead a team of cleaners, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will support the training and induction of new staff and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are used efficiently and maintained in good condition
• Address any operational issues or challenges that arise, finding effective solutions to maintain smooth operations

Ideal Candidate

• You must have the right to work in the UK
• Demonstrable people skills or experience coordinating a team
• Experience cleaning in a similar environment or transferable skills, knowledge, and understanding
• Understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and Health & Safety compliance on similar sites/environments
• Experience in training and inducting colleagues
• Strong communication skills, essential for client liaison and effective team coordination
• Proactive and adaptable, able to respond to changing demands and priorities
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards
