Job summary

King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy is seeking a cleaning supervisor to lead the cleaning team and maintain a safe, clean school environment for pupils and staff in a vibrant community. You will supervise duties, manage attendance, and support the Facilities Manager to uphold high cleaning standards.

The role offers opportunity to contribute to a modern, well-resourced school with continued CPD and training, and a collaborative team committed to pupil welfare and learning.

Responsibilities

• To supervise the cleaning staff, ensuring their work is completed to an agreed schedule and to a required standard.
• To undertake performance management reviews of the cleaning staff in liaison with the Facilities Manager.
• To ensure the punctuality and good time-keeping of all the cleaning staff, including monitoring attendance.
• To manage understaffing and ensuring variations are dealt with accordingly.
• To ensure that all staff comply with the Health & Safety Policy as required under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

We are looking for a cleaning supervisor to supervise the cleaning duties in accordance with an agreed schedule and to a required standard to ensure that staff and pupils have a comfortable, clean safe and well-maintained school environment

Main responsibilities:-

• To supervise the cleaning staff, ensuring their work is completed to an agreed schedule and to a required standard.
• To undertake performance management reviews of the cleaning staff in liaison with the Facilities Manager.
• To ensure the punctuality and good time-keeping of all the cleaning staff, including the monitoring attendance and informing the Facilities Manager of absences.
• To manage understaffing and ensuring variations are dealt with accordingly
• To ensure that all staff comply with the Schools Health & Safety Policy as required under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
