Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a dependable Cleaning Supervisor for Willoughby Primary School in Loughborough. The role oversees cleaning services on site, ensuring contract standards are met and staff are supported. DBS Enhanced clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage cleaning services across the school premises.
• Ensure cleaning standards meet contract specifications and SLAs.
• Provide support and supervision to Building Cleaning Operatives on site.
• Monitor quality and promptly address any issues.
• Ensure safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment and machinery.
• Maintain site security and building access controls.
• Complete and maintain on-site admin records (timesheets, leave forms, H&S docs).
• Promote safe working practices and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
• Support welfare and development of cleaning staff.

Summary

We are looking for a dependable and proactive Cleaning Supervisor to ensure the effective delivery of cleaning and caretaking services at Willoughby Primary School. This role is ideal for someone with supervisory experience in cleaning who is committed to upholding high standards and creating a safe, clean, and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the cleaning services throughout the school premises.
• Ensure that cleaning standards meet contract specifications and service level agreements.
• Provide support and supervision to Building Cleaning Operatives on site.
• Monitor the quality of cleaning services and promptly address any issues.
• Ensure the safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
• Maintain site security, including managing alarms and building security protocols.
• Complete and maintain administrative records on site, such as:
  • Timesheets
  • Holiday forms
  • Health & Safety documentation
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
• Support the welfare and development of the cleaning staff.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cleaning or as a cleaning supervisor.
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to supervise and support frontline cleaning staff effectively.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Reliable and professional work ethic.
• Capability to work independently and manage responsibilities efficiently.
• Enhanced DBS Check.
